Moca (Montecatini Contemporary Art), is the most important museum in Montecatini, housed inside the prestigious Palazzo Comunale: a fascinating synthesis of contemporary art and tradition.
Inaugurated in 2012, Moca was soon able to gain a prominent role in the Italian cultural scene: it boasts a permanent collection of major works ranging from figurative art to sculpture, from photography to multimedia installations.
Here you can admire big names of the international artistic elite including Pietro Annigoni, Marco Lodola and Joan Mirò, with his “Woman Wrapped in a Flight of Birds,” created especially for Montecatini in 1980.
Moca also hosts temporary exhibitions on a regular basis, making each visit a new discovery.
A vibrant center for cultural encounter and dialogue located a short distance from the 5-star Montecatini Palace & Spa hotel, it is a dynamic and inclusive place with a full calendar of lectures, workshops, educational laboratories and meetings with artists.
